What are your main activities during a working day?
My main activities include manufacturing components for our adapters, mainly from aluminium and stainless steel, as well as reworking components, for example for prototypes.

What do you learn during your training?
Among other things, I learn conventional turning and milling and how to operate CNC-controlled turning and milling machines. The most important thing is to work precisely.

Did you complete an internship in the relevant occupational field before deciding on this profession?
Yes, in my training company and also already in another company, which I liked very much both times.

How did your colleagues welcome you?
The colleagues were very nice from the first day!

What are the requirements at vocational school and how often do you attend?
In the first year of my apprenticeship, I go to vocational school in Landsberg for one week every fortnight, and in the second year I have three days of school in Weilheim every other week. And in the 3rd year of my apprenticeship, I have exactly one day of school every week, also in Weilheim.

What school-leaving qualification do you have?
I did my secondary school leaving certificate at the Realschule.

What distinguishes your training company?
I get an insight into different departments and appreciate the family-like working atmosphere. In addition, the travel costs to the vocational school and the costs for teaching materials are covered by the company.

Why did you decide on this particular apprenticeship?
Having already decided on the business sector at school, an apprenticeship in the economic/commercial field was the most sensible next step.

What do you learn during your training?
Commercial processes (both the theory at school and the practice in everyday work)

Did you complete an internship in the relevant occupational field before deciding on this profession?
Yes, about a year before my apprenticeship, I did an internship at ATX in this professional field.

What are the chances of being taken on after your training?
I was already assured of being taken on at the beginning of my training and despite the turnover problems caused by the corona pandemic, I am still being offered the job!

What are the requirements at vocational school and how often do you attend?
Classes are held one or two days a week. The requirements are relatively high, but as long as you are interested in the subjects, you should have no problems.

Do you already have your own tasks or projects that you manage independently?
Many activities have to be carried out independently (creating orders, processing order confirmations), but errors can still be caught through control instances.

What do you plan to do after the training?
I have decided to move to the IT department (possibly with further education/training).
