Why did you decide to train as a technical product designer?
I was always very interested in designing something new. In addition, I had a preference for technically automated products. So I am in good hands with ATX!

What are your main activities during a working day?
Creation of drawing derivations, parts lists, new components and maintenance of the PDM (Product Document Management)

What requirements does your training company have of you?
Spatial imagination, good mathematical and physical skills and interest in technology

Trainer, Head of Department, Head of Production

What do you plan to do after your training?
I definitely want to study mechanical engineering

What are your main activities during a working day?
Turning, milling and drilling

Why did you decide on this particular apprenticeship?
I think that this technical profession suits me very well and I like the activities.

Did you complete an internship in the relevant occupational field before deciding on this profession?
Yes, I did an internship beforehand. Even directly at ATX.

How did your colleagues welcome you?
Very good, everyone was nice to me from the beginning.

What qualities should you definitely have for your apprenticeship?
Reliability Independence, accuracy and attentiveness.

What do you plan to do after the training?
I would like to stay with ATX after the training.

Do you already have your own tasks or projects that you manage independently?
Yes, I am currently in the process of building a special and individual raffle for the training fair. This is being done as part of a trainee project with all ATX trainees.

What are your main activities during a working day?
My main activities include manufacturing components for our adapters, mainly from aluminium and stainless steel, as well as reworking components, for example for prototypes.

What do you learn during your training?
Among other things, I learn conventional turning and milling and how to operate CNC-controlled turning and milling machines. The most important thing is to work precisely.

Did you complete an internship in the relevant occupational field before deciding on this profession?
Yes, in my training company and also in another company, which I liked very much both times.

How did your colleagues welcome you?
The colleagues were very nice from the first day!

What are the requirements at vocational school and how often do you attend?
In the first year of my apprenticeship, I go to vocational school in Landsberg every fortnight for one week, in the second year of my apprenticeship I have three days of school in Weilheim every other week and in the third year of my apprenticeship I have exactly one day of school every week, also in Weilheim.

What school-leaving qualification do you have?
I did my secondary school leaving certificate at the Realschule.

What distinguishes your training company?
I get an insight into different departments and appreciate the family-like working atmosphere. In addition, the travel costs to the vocational school and the costs for teaching materials are covered by the company.

Why did you decide to train as an industrial clerk?
Having already decided on the business sector at school, an apprenticeship in the economic/commercial field was the most sensible next step.

What do you learn during your training?
Commercial processes (both the theory at school and the practice in everyday work)

Did you complete an internship in the relevant occupational field before deciding on this profession?
Yes, about a year before my apprenticeship I did an internship - this one even directly at ATX.

What are the chances of being taken on after your training?
I was already assured of being taken on at the beginning of my training. Now I work in the purchasing department.

What qualities should you definitely have for your apprenticeship?
Reliability and flexibility

Do you have any tips for future trainees?
Working properly is the most important thing in my eyes!

What distinguishes your training company?
The high level of trust given to staff even though they are new and inexperienced.
