Automated Testing Xpo 2026
In electronics production, stable test processes determine quality, throughput and cost-effectiveness. The decisive levers for reproducible results and scalable processes arise in particular at the interface between test contacting, measurement technology and automation. Automated Testing Xpo addresses precisely this area as a focussed specialist format for companies from test contacting, test technology, fixture construction and automated production. The focus is on solutions for high-precision test fixtures, robust contacting concepts and their integration into networked and partially to fully automated test environments.
On 01 & 02 July 2026, Xpo in Fürstenfeldbruck will bring together technology providers, application experts and technical decision-makers. It is aimed at trade visitors from development, design, electronics production and test system technology who are working on specific issues - from the reliable contacting of complex assemblies to the optimisation of test processes in terms of cycle time, repeat accuracy and reliability.
Xpo complements established leading trade fairs with its clearly defined focus: a compact format that enables a direct exchange on specific requirements and solutions. The focus is on robust content, technical comparability and the transfer to practical application.

Process linking using smart equipment - optimisation of the workflow through holistic solutions
When thinking about the procurement of equipment in electronics production, this is often done in a very one-dimensional way and in relation to the individual process. But why not take a more holistic approach to the production of an electronic assembly right from the start? Why not link several processes together using a smart equipment concept? Why not minimise handling times, eliminate storage costs and use both space and employees more efficiently? The presentation will provide suggestions using the example of linking the depanelling and testing processes. It will also explain how assemblies and utilisation can be designed to make such concepts easier to implement.

From Prototype to Production – Effective Testing, Programming, and Inspection
The path to optimal quality assurance at every stage of product development. Today’s assemblies and manufacturing technologies place ever-increasing demands on development and production. Customers expect maximum flexibility and absolutely flawless assemblies. Manufacturers are expected to be flexible and produce cost-effectively. What possibilities do current testing methods offer? How can these be applied intelligently and efficiently in practice? What role does AI play today and in the future? Discover the possibilities of embedded board testing, programming, and modern 3D inspection methods for the entire manufacturing process (SPI, AOI, AXI, CCI, and assembly inspection).

Requirements for in-system programming and why SEGGER Flashers meet them all
As embedded systems grow more complex and production volumes increase, reliable in-system programming has become a critical factor in manufacturing success. What may seem like a simple step - flashing firmware - can quickly turn into a major bottleneck due to diverse interfaces, complex flash algorithms, custom workflows and the need for modern security features. SEGGER Flashers address these challenges with a robust, scalable, and hassle-free approach, delivering top-speed, reliable programming, seamless automation, and zero hidden licensing costs.
Arne Kulinna, SEGGER Microcontroller GmbH

PCBA - optimise and miniaturise | More test points. Less surface area. High process reliability.
How can maximum test depth and minimum substrate area be combined?
In our presentation, we will introduce the rigid needle adapter technology from MicroContact. It enables reliable contacting from 100 µm test points at very small distances and at the same time reduces the mechanical load during single and double-sided testing. Ideal for modern, high-density PCB layouts.

Test-it-off: PCBA Testing Automation
Test-it-off tests PCBAs fully autonomously, without operator supervision or dependence on the production line. The system performs off-the-line testing, enabling quality control even when production is paused. Designed for Dark Factory operation, it works reliably through the night, testing, sorting, and preparing PCBAs for the next shift. Results and system status are accessible remotely in real time, ensuring complete traceability and control.

Introduction to the EVAjig platform
The EVAjig platform is a flexible test solution that adapts to your production requirements. It combines proven ATX fixtures and cassettes with integrated electronics and software to create a modular system.
Advantages:
• Scalable: From prototype to series production (DEVjig - EVAjig - AUTOjig) with a standardised hardware basis
• Fast realisation: Short project runtimes thanks to standardised architecture
• Cost efficiency: Reuse of hardware and software reduces project costs
• Safe & controlled: Protected data, centralised management and real-time insights

We don't temper the room - we bring the product to a state in which quality becomes visible.
Classic climate control concepts are increasingly reaching their limits in modern test processes - particularly in terms of cycle time, energy efficiency and informative value. In our presentation, we will show an alternative approach: direct, highly dynamic temperature control of the test specimen. Instead of conditioning the entire room, the product is brought to the desired temperature in a targeted and controlled manner. This opens up new possibilities for development and series testing.
Contents of the presentation include
- Comparison of classic climate chambers with product-focussed temperature control
- Effects on cycle times, energy requirements and system concepts
- Technical realisation in compact, integrable system solutions
- Integration into existing test and production environments
- Practical examples from real applications
